In 1837, F.N. McIntire Brass Works was established, and they manufactured fire equipment for many generations of McIntires.

Starting in 1936, the castings were made by Mystic Valley Foundry, Inc. in Somerville, MA owned by Arthur Anthony, Sr. Mr. Anthony helped Tom McIntire design the “new” Model 20 slide pole.

Mystic Valley Foundry continued to make castings and have a close working relationship with F. N. McIntire until 1986 when the second generation of the Anthony family purchased the company.

A third generation of Anthonys continues our leadership role in the industry by implementing safety features and utilizing modern technology to produce a better product in both function and appearance.
